Christina Raiti

Coach Christina has been an integral part of the LuHi basketball program since 2016, initially joining as a player from 2008-2012. She transitioned to coaching and became the Head Coach in 2020, where she has achieved remarkable success and elevated the program to national prominence.

Under her leadership, Coach Christina has accomplished:

  • 2023 Naismith Coach of the Year (youngest coach to receive the honor)
  • 2024 Naismith Finalist Coach of the Year
  • 2024: First coach/program to have three girls selected to the McDonald's All-American Game from the same school
  • Multiple Division I, II, and III prospects sent to college
  • Three consecutive years of Top 10 national rankings
  • 2023/2024: Named to the Silver Media Top 100 Most Influential Names in Girls Basketball
  • 2023-24: Finished No. 1 in the country in ESPN National Rankings
  • Champions of the 40th Annual Iolani Classic
  • Three consecutive NYS Gatorade Player of the Year titles
  • 2023 NYS Federation Champions
  • Over 15 ESPN-ranked players developed under her coaching
  • 2022 Nike TOC Champions
  • 31 ranked wins

One of Coach Christina’s favorite LuHi memories is winning the Nike TOC and making history when three players—Kate Koval, Syla Swords, and Kayleigh Heckel—were selected to the McDonald's All-American roster.

In addition to her coaching career, Coach Christina played four years of college basketball at Trinity College, where she earned a degree in Education. She also holds a master's degree in General Education/Special Education (Grades 1-6). Beyond basketball, she owns a youth sports business located in Huntington, NY.

With a track record of excellence, Coach Christina continues to inspire and lead one of the top programs in girls' basketball.
