Nikko began his coaching career in 2014 at Mineola High School, where he helped turn around a struggling program, leading them to a 32-17 record over two seasons following two winless years. After his success at Mineola, he moved on to Baldwin High School, his alma mater, where he posted a remarkable 43-9 record over three seasons and helped secure a county championship.
In 2019, Nikko transitioned to the college ranks as Associate Head Coach at New York Tech in Old Westbury. There, he helped lead the team to the playoffs for the first time in six years, until the program was unfortunately shut down due to COVID-19 in 2020.
In 2022, Nikko took on the role of Assistant Coach at Queens College in Flushing, NY. Under his guidance, the team made the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Nikko then returned to high school coaching, taking on the Varsity Regional Head Coaching position at LuHi, where he continues to inspire and develop athletes. He also directs the AAU program with Level Up LI, further contributing to the development of young talent.
Nikko’s coaching philosophy focuses on building strong, well-rounded athletes and fostering a competitive and supportive team culture. He is excited to continue his journey at LuHi and help guide the Crusaders to success.
